Chronic Pelvic Infection-Ok, So here is the story...I a
Did they identify the bacteria causing the pelvic infection? Sometimes this is caused by sexually transmitted bacterias. The proper antibiotic should be administered for the proper length of time to clear the infection.
Even after the infection has cleared the scarring on the various organs may continue the pain. Sometimes surgery to remove female organs is necessary to stop the infection.
Ok, So here is the story...
I am a 19 year old female that has been in and out of the hospital 6 times and back and forth to doctors. I finally had a surgery done (a diagnostic laparoscopy) and they discovered a Chronic Pelvic Infection. I have been suffering with this pain for over a year now. I am on depression meds, pain killers, pills to help me sleep because of the pain, antibiotics and some others. I am only 19 and dont want to continue these pills for much longer. Does any one know of other options?
Thanks to those who respond.

Thank you for your reply.
I Have been diagnosed with HPV of the cervix. And I am getting tested for others soon. I was placed on antibiotics, but I got very sick from them so the doctor took me off and gave me one antibiotic injection in the muscle of my butt. I had that injection today. I dont know I am worried because the doctor said that it is a very bad infection and it is going to take a long term treatment to cure.

Hang on, you are fighting a viral infection rather than a bacterial infection. This will take a long time to bring under control. I am not sure what they have to fight viral infections with.
